Exercise Restraint
Walking, cycling, running and lifting weights can help keep your efforts from going up in smoke. A 2011 study published in "Nicotine & Tobacco Research" reported that people who entered a weight-training program -- twice a week for 12 weeks, working up to two sets of 10 repetitions for 10 exercises -- were twice as successful at quitting than those who did not exercise.
